Alignment of SKM – Skim (Pvt) Ltd.

As per preliminary study carried out by NHA the location of River Chenab Bridge was 5 Kms upstream of Shahbazpur Bridge. However, in the light of concession agreement, SKIM/FWO approached Irrigation Dept Punjab for a detailed model study for the location of Bridge at Chenab River. After detailed model study by Irrigation Research Institute, it was decided that the bridge will be constructed 100 m up/down stream of Shahbazpur Bridge and accordingly the alignment of motorway was also changed is as under:

Sialkot Kharain Motorway Infrastructure Management Company (SKIM Pvt Ltd) was incorporated as a private limited company as per SECP regulations in 2021. SKIM is a Special Project Company (SPC) with a registered office based in Rawalpindi, Punjab and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Frontier Works Organization (FWO).
